...Final days of a wonderful journey

" . ....i like reading books hmm....as they provide an excellent company ...and also books are man's best friend. But these days e-books have replaced books hmm......thats it sir...thats it ".This was on the day when Wipro conducted an oncampus in our college and i was literally stammering on the jam(just a minute) session.I hardly spoke for 30 seconds and had no nerves to speak in front of all and was sweating from head to toe.I was sure i wasn't going to be selected but my friends santosh, vijay, chala and niranjan(ninju) were impeccable. But to my surprise the HR called me again to speak and this time i was little confident(...even though my legs were trembleming like anything).Luck favored me and this time i was lucky enough to get through the first round,me and few of my friends cleared the jam session and rest had to leave.Almost immediately the next sessions began and we were lucky enough to clear upto the final session, the HR guys went for breaks quite of...

Tuesdays...

"Many consider Tuesdays very unauspicious but to me, they were the most wonderful days in a week"- This was three years ago in my Engineering first year. Want to know why? coz i had my EDC Lab and someone very cute and pretty would sit next to me as my lab partner(..can't reveal her name). Hmm...as soon as Sunday would start three words would go round in my mind "day after tomorrow".After a long Monday(..i hate Mondays), Tuesdays would seem very short. Getting ready for college on the big day(every Tuesdays),I would start thinking about how to talk to her and make her smile. That day i wouldn't miss the college at any cost. Sitting in the bus i would be lost in thoughts, recollecting some funny quotes i would scribble in my lab notes trying to impress her. Entering into the class i would look for her and just her glance would make my day(..in fact, the whole week) with a big smile on my face i would go to the last bench and keep looking at her. ...

...My Birthday

"Happy Birthday da...." ....with these words my brother woke me up. My joy knew no bounds as i was waiting for this day for almost a year(....from my last B'day). Then slowly as i woke up Mom and dad wished me.Immediately i got a call from my Grandpa and Grandma wishing me.The day was brighter than ever,by then mom was busy cooking and Dad was rushing for his Office.Slowly one by one started leaving, dad for his office , Bro for his coll and Mom as usual was busy getting ready for Office.I was the only one without any tensions (since my exams got over and i was at home preparing for my GRE...).The day was getting fainted already lacking the enthusiasm once it had. But a few years back when i was in my schooling days.My bro and i used to make a long time-table for my birthday. We would go purchase clothes few days before the B'day and would be waiting anxiously for the day to come.On that day all of us(me ,bro, mom an...

exam and war

It was chilly morning when dad woke me up at 5:am and reminded me about the exam i had to write which i wasn't prepared at all, with half interest i woke up, my bro already getting ready for his BITSAT classes.Moving towards washroom, i saw my mom sleeping cozily and thought once my exams get over i would sleep upto 8 which i don't actually do coz whenever i know i have some holiday the next day i wake up as early as possible(good habits and me always go together....lol).As i reached the study table i saw two big words staring at me "Satellite Communication"(or rather me staring as to what to study.....) coz the day before the exam i spent entire day watching movies and thought i could complete 3 units with ease and when i opened the books that evening, from that time to next day morning i kept staring what to study.About half an hour i studied, then closed the books and went to the kitchen and started explaining my mom about satellites!!! which she would hear...

MY MOM....MY IDOL

Hi guys for all those who are going to read this would realize how special a mom is, but for me my mom is something more.. she is my "IDOL" because my mom has strived hard a lot from her childhood to motherhood. Her journey as a child till now has been a example for me and my brother. My mom was born in an Hindhu Bramin family on 21st March 1958 in Nagpur in Maharashtra with five sisters and two brothers. My grandfather was an employee in central railways and was struggling to meet both the ends apart from his work, he was also doing a extra job to satisfy the basic needs of the family. As my grandfather knew the importance of education he sent all his children to an english medium school by taking some loans ,as he could not afford.Apart from seven of them there was my mom's grandmother staying with them and she was an orthodox women there were some restrictions as to women not to study and only the sons should study but m...
